Students absent for weekly in-class testing and the Midterm or End Term in-class exams will receive a zero for that test. There is no makeup. Instead, the student may complete additional optional course projects as approved by the instructor.

All Activities and Testing remain Open until 11:59 pm April 30th therefore there is no late work (The 15 week term ends April 30th. The April 30th day assumes May 2nd will be the A-15 term grade deadline.April 29th and April 30th are now called completion days (replaces the old final exam days). Traditionally grades are usually due at 10 pm two days after the last day of completion.
The Midterm exam must be completed by the end of Spring Break (March 18) for full credit. After March 18th, and the in-class midterm the online midterm grade will be adjusted manually to 50% of the earned score.
The 1st week explorations must be completed by January 15th. Submission after January 15th (or the day the points are posted in Blackboard) will earn no points. Likewise the Scientific Method project option must be completed by January 22nd to earn full credit otherwise a 20% penalty will be assessed for the work being completed after January 22nd or the day after the 22nd when the instructor post the grades in Blackboard
Students SHOULD Complete at least one to two chapters per week to finish. Each chapter take several hours of study and testing. You can not do 15 chapters in one week. It is up to the student to set her/his own personal weekly deadlines and assume the professor has programmed Blackboard that the chapter must be completed by midnight on that weekly due date.
The student will notice that the due date for all online testing is August 25th. Because there are so many 2-4 question short testing, a student who qualifies for an incomplete final grade will be able to continue working after April 30th, but must be done no later than the end of the Summer Term 2019.
Required Projects have a a five day grace period from due date before deemed late; 6-14 days 50% penalty; over two weeks no grade-work not accepted.Optional Projects have a deadline of April 30th. Deadlines are two weeks after the scheduled required chapters are to have been completed. Almost All projects are optional except Project #2 Gasoline which is due until the last day of the term
Optional Chapter projects are due on April 30th.
